It was 1992 when Vans first introduced what would be the flagship sneakers of Skate culture: The Half Cab™.
Three years earlier, in 1989, the Californian brand collaborated with skateboard legend Steve Caballero to create the ultimate skateboard sneaker, following to the letter his needs as a wheeled board athlete, and literally cutting the upper with scissors, stitching it back together to create the simple Half Cab silhouette.
Thirty years later, Vans pays homage to the shoe that influenced an entire generation of skates with an updated, reimagined version of the unmistakable Half Cab silhouette: the Skate Half Cab ’92
The Skate Half Cab ’92 features a revised suede upper with a contemporary pattern, the side finish has been enhanced with iconic details like Vans‘ signature checkerboard barrier. The dual performance straps have a sturdier knurled texture on the toe, they’ve been made from SickStick for superior strength and durability.
