adidas and Sean Wotherspoon are back with a new edition of the beloved SUPEREARTH

SUPEREARTH brings together various recycled elements to create something new.
Sean Wotherspoon made his name with this ethos – thrift shopping in LA, gathering elementsfrom the past and curating them, for both his own looks and for a new audience with his Round 2 stores.

The easiest step to take in creating more a sustainable product is by looking around and using what we’ve got. Buying and wearing vintage T-Shirts as they are, sourcing old tracksuits and reconstructing them to create new designs, or turning material off-cuts into new product materials.

The industry brings this idea to life through recycling, with projects like Parley flying the flag in sustainable footwear. Sustainability lives at the core of the idea, filtered through each interaction and touchpoint along the customer journey, laddering up to the bigger sustainability campaign narrative.

Sean Wotherspoon:

From his Round 2 stores championing vintage, to his own vegan lifestyle, sustainability is at the core of everything that Sean Wotherspoon does.

Inspired by his personal collection of vintage sportswear, he believes that product isn’t just to own & collect, but to wear and love.

Things look better worn in, developing character over time. With both his audience, and the industry’s eyes on him, SUPEREARTH serves as a statement of intent. “The shoe alone will not save the planet” – but if we’re all doing our part, perhaps we can.

It satisfies the need for sustainability through recycled and vegan materials, whilst fulfilling their desire for hyped product.
