After the capsule collection in collaboration with Gucci’s creative genius Alessandro Michele, the German brand has dug into its archives and unearthed all those silhouettes that made sports and fashion history, reworking them for today’s life.
The adidas Originals Adicolor Heritage 70s collection is an ode to the most transgressive, innovative and irreverent decade of the modern era. It combines 1970s archival designs with contemporary luxurious details and materials to create a capsule of stark, acid colors such as beige, ochre, ivory white, acid green, peachy pink, and strawberry red, repurposing classic designs that have made sports history, such as the beige acetate jacket with stripes on the sleeves that was the star of the 1976 Montreal Olympics.
The pants become wide and straight-leg, known as “Palazzo,” with the three horizontal stripes that emphasize the tapered shape.
