This season, adidas Originals and Human Made return for the next stage of their ongoing collaborative partnership. Underpinned by the evergreen tagline, “future is in the past”, the Spring/Summer 2021 collection sees Human Made reimagine a number of classic adidas apparel, footwear, and accessories styles through Nigo’s quintessential lens. Inspired by the coming together of vintage aesthetics, bold graphics, and innovative technology, the apparel offering unique takes on the Firebird Track Top and Track Pant, as well as a printed cotton T-Shirt. Serving as an ode to an adidas icon, the Human Made Firebird Track Top boasts a reversible tricot construction. One side plays into the classic adidas tracksuit look with minimal branding and zip pockets, meanwhile the other side takes inspiration from vintage souvenir jackets and features a custom trophy graphic on the back, as well as two-tone color blocking and slash pockets. The Human Made Firebird Track Pant is then made up in a classic silhouette with matching details. Rounding out the apparel offering is the HM Graphic Tee which is composed of a cotton material and finished off with the inclusion of a custom printgraphic on the back.
Evolving adidas’ sportswear legacy, the footwear offering features bold takes on two classic silhouettes. The Human Made Forum Lo reinvigorates the iconic court sneaker’s instantly recognisable smooth leather upper with a BOOST midsole and performance basketball tooling. The striking silhouette is then complimented by a number of branded details throughout including a Human Made heart logo printed on the quarter, a “Dry Alls®” TPU insert on the strap, “Human Made” embroidery on the interior of the strap, “Gears for Futuristic Teenagers” writing embossed on the heel clip, and graphic printed sock liners. Meanwhile, the Human Made Country brings together the iconic upper from the adidas Country silhouette with an outdoor BOOST tooling.
The classic look is brought to life with a textile underlay, suede toe cap, and complimentary synthetic leather stripes which are printed with the phrase “Gears for Futuristic Teenagers”. The collection is capped off by a pair of Human Made Socks as well as a pack containing Human Made Head and Wristbands. The accessories all feature co-branded graphics and printed details throughout. Each piece in the collection is made up in a suite of 3 colorways which, in turn, are exclusively available in the corresponding global regions: Green for North America and Latin America, Burgundy for Europe, and Navy for Asia-Pacific. The first part of the adidas Originals by Human Made Spring Summer 2021 collection launches on April 24th and is available at Black Box Store.
