One thing is for sure, the unusual union between Nike and Tiffany is leaving us all speechless: after Louis Vuitton, Sacai, Off-White, Jacquemus, Ambush, Comme des Garçons, the brand is going for luxury again; this time, with the world’s most famous historical jewelry brand, for the birth of a new Air Force 1 Low.
After leaks appeared on social media a few days ago, the Nike team responded by posting an image of the Tiffany-colored box and the words “A Legendary Pair,” leaving no doubt; shortly after, Tiffany & co. creative director Ruba Abu-Nimah did the same.
The Air Force 1 Nike x Tiffany marks a momentous turning point for the luxury jewelry brand, which, since being acquired by the LVMH group under Arnault’s leadership, has managed to transform itself into a benchmark of new contemporary luxury.
The Sneakers feature a premium black suede upper, Tiffany Blue Swoosh and silver detailing on the two heels: a sleek and luxurious version of the classic basketball sneakers, born in 1982.
The sneakers will go on sale – as a limited edition – starting March 7, 2023 exclusively at the two Tiffany & co stores in New York and on Nike’s SNKRS app, as well as at selected Nike Group stores in North America.
The launch will be accompanied by a line of very limited, co-branded silver jewelry such as a silver whistle, shoehorn, shoe brush, and lace dubrae for the Nike x Tiffany & Co, with prices ranging from $250 to $475.
They will be available in men’s sizes from US 3.5 to US 18, at a retail price of $400 USD.
What about you, will you try to purchase them?
