Yohji Yamamoto and adidas presented the second Chapter of the F/W21-22 collection.
The campaign was set on the peaks of a snowy mountain in 3D-VFX and the collection worn by animated avatars, created based on the biometric data of real models.
The result is unexpected, somewhere between an online role-playing game and the Metaverse.
The Y-3 Chapter II, in fact, takes inspiration from the concept of “Cocoon”: a framework based on XML technology, and aims to combine – in an unexpected way – the force of nature with the imagination of technology.
The collection mixes ergonomic elements with functional silhouettes, to items with a contemporary aesthetic, essential and refined.
The proposed items range from sweaters to down jackets, from relaxed pants to accessories; the palette used evokes relaxing snowy landscapes, such as ice white, sky blue, light gray and some occasional touch of bright red.
