Aries SS23 “Taking Off” collection getta uno sguardo nostalgico tra i movimenti subculturali inglesi quasi dimenticati, e indaga sul loro attuale ruolo nella cultura giovanile contemporanea. Inspired by Miloš Forman‘s film of the same name, which follows with a cynical eye a young couple grappling with their first experience as parents in the 1970s, Aries borrows.
Now, Aries kicks off 2023 by taking a walk-through London to explore forgotten subcultural movements and their place in today’s youth culture.
The collection, titled “TAKING OFF” (from Miloš Forman‘s film of the same name), “steals” the essential yet provocative style of the 1990s, with formal and tailored garments, lace bodysuits and electric shades; applies logos and bootlegs such as “J’Adore Aries”-a brand emblem-to acid-colored tees and sweatshirts.
