With its 720 pages and nearly 900 advertisements and archival prints, SOLED OUT it’s a look back at the golden age of advertising.
From McEnroe to Jordan, and Hulk Hogan to Sigourney Weaver, SOLED OUT immerses us in the fascinating world of Sport Advertising, its brands and products that have represented a cultural turning point and the foundations for what is now commonly called ‘Sneakers Culture’.
Woody is considered one of the most authoritative voices in this industry, as well as being the founder and editor of the Sneaker Freaker Magazine. Our connection with him dates back to 2006 – until today, making us really proud to have been able to present this incredible editorial work and the Live Talk from Australia.
During the interview “Woody” retraced the stages with which he developed the ‘SOLED OUT’ project, with what criteria he selected and collected, in more than ten years, almost 900 advertisements and prints, and then concluded by telling the emotion that he tried to make it happen.
The event was held at the Riot Lounge Bar in Naples, Saturday 13 November at 11:00 AM, and saw the participation exclusively by invitation of Sneaker Heads, journalists, bloggers, professionals on this field.
Live Talk is part of our “Knowledge is Power” project: an itinerant “space” which we host national and international guests, inviting them to share their ideas, their culture and their experience.
With the participation of the communities of Sneakers Hub and Escape Vision, we have given the opportunity to old and new generations to meet, all sharing the same inexhaustible curiosity and thirst for knowledge: and this, for us, is the main objective of the project “Knowledge is Power”.
