Kirill Kogan is a Moscow-born, Berlin-based artist.
His style draws inspiration from the world of video games, 90’s cult movies, Comics and the Skate Culture.
His impeccable illustrations have an unmistakable retro touch: they are raw (but perfect) as if they had been drawn with pencil and wax crayons, on any day in the 90s.
Yes, because Kogan has managed to make us remember what were the subjects and, above all, the style, of the drawings we did during our childhood / adolescence in 90’s: the basketball heroes we saw “flying” on TV, while they performed spectacular Dunk, cute animals cartoons, dressed according to the fashion of the moment, which we saw on T-Shirts with bright colors; writings with Squared and irregular fonts, as if they were drawn on a wall, like the one in Berlin.
